Katz Media Group has named Stacey Lynn Schulman executive vice president of strategy, analytics and research, working with both Katz Radio Group and Katz Television Group. Schulman joins from TVB, where she was chief research officer. She’s previously worked for Turner Broadcasting and Initiative.
NBCUniversal has promoted Jackie Hernandez to chief marketing officer for its Hispanic Enterprises and Content division, a new position. Hernandez was previously chief operating officer for Telemundo.
Elsewhere in NBCU’s Hispanic Enterprises and Content division, Luis Silberwasser has been named president of Telemundo, beginning in August. Silberwasser joins from Discovery Networks International, where he was executive vice president and chief content officer.
Mevelyn Noriega has been promoted to senior vice president of sales and administration at Splash Entertainment, which produces and distributes TV shows for kids. Noriega had been vice president.
MEC has named Kristen Metzger managing partner for people and culture, beginning on May 19. Metzger was previously executive vice president and managing director of client services at MediaVest.
Digital agency Essence has named Oscar Garza director of programmatic and audience for North America, a newly created position. Garza was most recently director of acquisition at Electronic Arts.
Hulu has named Jenny Wall senior vice president and head of marketing, after she most recently served as head of creative at Netflix. Before Netflix, Wall was chief marketing officer at BLT Communications.
CNN has named Ed O’Keefe vice president of CNN Money and Politics, in charge of digital content on those two beats. O’Keefe is a former editor in chief at NowThisNews.
Corey Silverman has been named head of global sales at Corbis Entertainment, which runs an online marketplace for branded integration. Silverman joins from Access 360 Media, where he was executive vice president of sales and marketing.
Hearst Magazines has promoted Rachel Rothman to technical director for the Good Housekeeping Research Institute, in charge of product evaluation. Rothman had been technical manager.
People StyleWatch has made two promotions, naming Leah Ginsberg executive editor and Kristen Maxwell deputy editor. Ginsberg had been deputy editor, while Maxwell was a senior editor.
Molly O’Toole has been named politics reporter at Defense One, Atlantic Media’s online national security and defense publication. O’Toole was previously news editor at The Huffington Post.
The Texas Tribune has launched a new op-ed site called TribTalk, with Gov. Rick Perry onboard as one of the site’s first contributors. Others set to contribute in the first few weeks include gubernatorial candidates Wendy Davis and Greg Abbott, U.S. Sens. John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, and San Antonio mayor Julián Castro.
Clear Channel Media and Entertainment has promoted Katie Wilcox to market president for San Francisco, taking over for the retiring JD Freeman on May 21. Wilcox had been vice president of sales in San Francisco.
