Cable’s newly launched El Rey Network has added Alfred Molina to the cast of its upcoming drama “Matador,” playing the owner of a soccer team. Molina’s most recent TV appearance was a role as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle on the show “Drunk History.” “Matador,” which premieres in July, is El Rey’s second original scripted drama, joining “From Dusk Till Dawn.”
AMC has named Tracey Lentz vice president of unscripted programming, working out of Los Angeles. Lentz was previously vice president of development at 3Ball Productions/Eyeworks USA.
Jesus Perezagua, president of Europe and Africa at Fox International Channels, is stepping down from his position on April 30, although he will continue work with the company as a consultant. Perezagua has been with Fox International since 2003.
Actress Marilu Henner will guest on Hallmark Channel’s upcoming drama “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” playing the supervisor of a group of postal detectives. Henner most recently appeared on Fox’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”
History has added another actor to the cast of its upcoming miniseries “Texas Rising,” casting Adam Hicks as a young Texas Ranger. Hicks most recently made a guest appearance on CBS’s “CSI.”
Telemundo Station Group has promoted Javier I. Ortiz to vice president of human resources, putting him in charge of HR for the company’s 17 stations. Ortiz had been director of human resources for Telemundo Networks.
Adrian “Clem” Taylor, a longtime TV news producer who won eight Emmys during his career, died last week at age 60 after battling pancreatic cancer. Taylor was at CBS for 20 years, including the most recent four at “60 Minutes.” He also previously worked at ABC, ESPN, Fox News and CNBC.
Domino magazine has brought in Krissy Tiglias, naming her digital director. Tiglias was most recently web site deputy editor at Real Simple, and before that she was at Redbook.
BuzzFeed has hired Alison Willmore as film critic, a new position at the web site. Willmore joins from indieWIRE, where she was television editor.
Bill Jaris has been named president for North America at Realeyes, which measures facial expressions and reactions to video content. Jaris was previously director of sales for digital platforms and networks at Nielsen.
Trademob, a mobile app marketing technology company, has named Heiko Genzlinger chief executive officer, effective July 1. Genzlinger was most recently managing director for Germany at Yahoo.
