Multicultural agency the community has named Mark Hunter executive creative director, working in the agency’s new London office. Hunter had been vice president and executive creative director at SapientNitro.
Dallas branding agency Freeman has brought in Phil Rehkemper, naming him chief financial officer. Rehkemper was most recently chief financial officer for Sensity Systems.
South Carolina agency DOM360 has named Ryan Alford director of business development and client services, effective immediately. Alford joins from iDrive On Demand, where he was chief marketing officer.
Active Interest Media has named Alex Aufmann marketing director, working with both Backpacker and Climbing magazines. Aufmann was previously at the public relations company Backbone Media.
Paul Cox has taken on a new role at Bloomberg, becoming an editor on the news organization’s legal team. Cox had been an editor covering bonds and currencies.
CNBC has brought in Ylan Q. Mui as a Washington correspondent, covering mostly economic and regulatory policy. Mui most recently covered the White House and economic policy at The Washington Post.
NBCUniversal Brand Development has named Michelle Hagen senior vice president, in charge of consumer product retail development. Hagen was previously senior vice president of global partnership marketing at Universal Pictures.
Larry Jones has been named chief executive officer at Blackthorn Media, which creates scripted virtual reality content. Jones is a former president at TV Land.
Chef Aarón Sánchez has joined Fox’s “MasterChef” for its upcoming eighth season, joining Gordon Ramsay and Christina Tosi on the judging panel. Sánchez has previously appeared on a number of other cooking shows, including “Chopped,” “Iron Chef America” and “Throwdown with Bobby Flay.”
Longtime play-by-play man Mark Jones has signed a new multiyear deal with ESPN, under which he will continue to cover the NBA. Jones has been with the network for 27 years.
NBC has added Genevieve Angelson to the cast of its comedy pilot “Happy Peppers,” about an adult brother and sister who move in together. Angelson previously appeared on “Good Girls Revolt.”
